Kim Masters

M.A., LPCC-S

Background

Kim Masters, MA, LPCC-S, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor with nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families. Since 2007, she has worked in outpatient, in-home, day treatment, and school-based mental health settings. Kim earned her master's degree from the University of St. Thomas and is certified in Synergetic Play Therapy and Theraplay, with advanced training in trauma-focused, attachment-based, adoption-competent, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches. She is also completing certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

 

Kim provides individual and family therapy for children ages 3–18, specializing in trauma, loss, foster care, adoption, and supporting families navigating complex life experiences. She is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with both children and the caring adults in their lives, creating a safe, collaborative environment where healing and growth can occur. As a kinship and adoptive parent in a transracial, blended family, Kim brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work. Outside of therapy, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, creating, and traveling.
